Closed Looping

We are thankfully living in a world where there are closed loop systems, also known as an artificial pancreas.

There are two ways that this can happen for Omnipod users:

Within the UK there are two main Diabetes charities which provide a lot of useful information and support, especially for people living with type 1 diabetes.

Hypoglycaemia

There are currently two main Omnipod devices:

> Omnipod 5: Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System

 

Omnipod 5 is able to work as a hybrid closed loop with a compatible continuous glucose monitor (e.g. Dexcom G6).
